Thoracic vertebrae fusion pain

Patient

Q: I am a 20 year old female who recently was seen in ER 2 weeks ago. I have had back pain I thought was normal for past few years, and always complained to my mother about having a sore back. Now I wake up one day with immense pain in my back and had to go to ER. They did all sorts of tests. The CT scan showed that my T10 and T11 are congenitally fused together. Would this cause such pain? I don't understand why it would be so sudden or cause such terrible constant pain the past 2 weeks without injury. I just had an MRI and am waiting on answers but I am in extreme pain until then. Why would I be in such pain so quickly and so badly without an injury especially on my back at a young age?
