Throat clogging

Patient : I have had what feels like a large lump of mucus lodged in my throat making it hard to swallow for the past few years. I was wondering what could be the cause of this. I was told I have a deviated septum when I was 14 and I have trouble breathing through my nose, could this be the cause?
