Thyroid Help - Pain and Swelling

Patient

Q: I have been having pain in my left collarbone for the past few months. Two months ago significant swelling occurred in the same location. I went to have an x-ray done to make sure I didn't break my collarbone (I didn't) so my doctor sent me for a cat scan. They found a 2cm complex nodule on the right thyroid. They then sent me to for a thyroid ultrasound to confirm what they found on the cat scan. Now I have to go for a biopsy. I am trying to find out if that 2cm nodule can be the explanation for the pain and swelling on the left side of my neck.
