Patient : My one year old daughter has been throwing up, after almost every naptime for the past three weeks. Ironically, when she had a fever for three days, she did not throw up. But after the fever, she began throwing up again and making gagging noises AND TRYING to gag herself with objects throughout the day! We went to the doctor while she had the fever and they brushed it off suggesting Tylenol, which, of course, helped with her fever. But now that the vomiting is back, I'm really concerned. For example, she woke up from her nap about 30 minutes ago and threw up a tiny bit. About 15 minutes ago I gave her some of my gatorade, which she threw back up in less than five minutes. She's not eating much, but not complaining about it. I need to figure out what is wrong before I can tell my doctor's office what to check for, because they don't do it themselves. She may throw up more often, I'm not sure, since she sucks on a pacifier most of the day; the only reason I question that is because she also gets the hiccups at least two times a day even when she's not drinking or laughing...
