Tonsil concern

Patient

Q: I am a 39 year old male who has always had large tonsils. I do not and have not had issues with my tonsils. I have no pain or infections. The issue currently is that I feel as though my tonsils are blocking my air flow during breathing. I get a sensation that my tonsils are choking me during normal activity. I am very aware of them and feel them in my throat. Also when I lay down to go to sleep, I get a feeling of reduce air intake and a choking or blocking of my airway feeling. Would tonsil removal be an option? Are there less drastic or alternative solutions to my concern?
