Tonsil hemorrahage

Patient

Q: Hi, I just had a tonsillectomy done last friday. I am 22 years old. This morning it hemorrhaged pretty bad and I was rushed to the ER where they used a silver nitrate stick to stop the bleeding. I lost quite a bit of blood, but apparently not enough since I was released shortly after. I've been out of the hospital now for 8 hours and the scab from the silver nitrate just fell off. There is no bleeding as of right now, but is this normal for the new scab to fall off that quick? I feel like nothing is protecting my 'tonsil area'.
