Patient : Hi, I have been told by people and a nutrionist that too much protein can be harmful to my health. I currently do weight-training 4-5 times a week and I am trying to gain muscle and strength. I weigh around 177 pounds and eat between 150-180 grams of protein per day. Should I cut back the amount of protein I eat per day or am I still in the safe amount since I am active and participate in bodybuilding type workouts?
