Trigeminal Neuralgia

Patient

Q: My daughter has recently been diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia. She has been treated since November for what was thought to be migraine headaches. With the new diagnosis comes the need for an MRI. Shortest waiting list we have is 5-6 weeks. What are the drawbacks of waiting this long for an MRI. If this were you, would you go to a private clinic for an immediate MRI.

Thanks so much for your answer. We are under considerable stress about this and funds are tight.
