Trimalleolar ankle fracture? little to no pain

Patient

Q: So I fell and hurt my ankle, my doctor took X-rays and is saying I have a trimalleolar ankle fracture. I am in very little to no pain however and feel like, if broken so badly, I would be in a lot more pain. I am only taking 600mg ibuprofen every six hours or so and can bear some weight, I am still walking with crutches though. I have a pretty good range of motion with my ankle and can curl my toes with no pain and can even pull my ankle toward me with no pain. pointing my foot is a bit harder however but the pain is not all that bad (I would say an 5 out of 10) I just don't want to go see the surgeon tomorrow and agree to get a surgery I don't have to have.
