Trouble with Depo.

Patient : I got the Depo shot in the middle of May. Everything was going great, I didn't get my May or June period (which are usually at the end of the month). I know it is common to not get your period at all when on birth control, however this month my period started suddenly. It has been 10+ days of HEAVY flow and cramps. I've never had such a heavy flow before. Although I'm calling my doctor in the morning, I am hoping for an answer sooner. Help?
Symptoms:  Cramps, long period, thick discharge
