Tubal sterilization reversal

Patient: I had my tubes tied in 2003. I got divorced and have been with my current boyfriend for two years and we were wondering how expensive the reversable surgery would cost and if it works??

Doctor: Tubal ligation reversal operations have a very, very low chance of success. Tubal ligation is intended to be a permanent form of birth control. In vitro fertilization is an option should you and boyfriend decide to have children.
