Two-week old baby swallows a lot of air

Q: Hello,
Sorry, not sure if this the right category but we didnt want to assume anything. Our baby is 2.5 weeks old. The basic issue we face is that at timesw hen she breast feeds, she will swallow a lot of air. We know it's normal to some extent but it seems to be abnormally much. It looks as though she is trying to hold her burps in and instead "swallow" the air. Also when she yawns she will swallow the exhale. She will usually burp if she's almost asleep and not "fighting" it. Sometimes she has a painful look on her face and cries and doesn't want to feed anymore. Last night we gave her formula, changed her diaper and she continued crying very loudly until I tried to burp her even more. Just wondering if you can help us with this issue. Any help is appreciated .
