Type 2 Diabetes Patient

Q: Hi my mum is a diabetic type 2 patient,she is 63 years old. she got one of her leg amputated in 2013 due to a little wound in her foot which led to one of her leg being amputated. It was then we discover that she is diabetic. I just want to know what is the best medication she can be taking. She in Africa,while i am here in the UK. Any advice of drugs i can buy for her from here will be very appreciated. Though, she told me she has been taking ( LOSARTAN POTASSIUM 25mg and CLEMID 5 GLIBENCLAMIDE TABLETS BP 5mg and SYNFORMIN.METFORMIN TABLETS 500mg). These are the medication she is taking and she asked me to help her buy from here,but i want to asked from a Doctor for a better advise. Thanks for your help.
