Patient :I have a three-month-old little girl. My area has, unfortunately, seen a dramatic rise of pertussis and a few cases of measles and mumps. During the holiday season, I've avoided taking her to certain family gatherings in which some unvaccinated children are present. Unfortunately, the parents of these kids don't have the sense to vaccinate the poor kids and they also don't keep them home when they're sick.
Am I overreacting or being overly cautious?
Symptoms: I might be an overly protective mother ;o)
