Patient

Q: Hi. I am Arif aged 35 and G6PD deficient. Doctor has advised me to take Melatonin. Is it safe to take with G6PD deficiency. Please advice me.

It is safe to take Melatonin in G6PD deficiency. It is dangerous to take oxidizing agents in this condition but since melatonin does not have such an action it is safe.

Hope this helps you.
