UTI infection with vaginal bleeding? (Bright red bleeding)

Patient : Hi, I am a 19 year old female. A few nights ago I had sex unprotected (I know, stupid). I woke up the next morning and went to the bathroom and had a burning sensation. After that I needed to go to the toilet every 5 minutes and the burning pain was really bad. I went to the doctor and he said I had a uti and prescribed me Alprim. I took one alprim yesterday and one today. Today (my second day of being on antibiotics) I noticed that I had red blood coming from my vagina. The burning has stopped now when I urinate but I've had to wear a tampon because of the bleeding. I know that when you wipe on a uti you may have pink blood but I actually have bright red blood kind of like a light period. Is this normal to have from a uti? Or could it be an std? I have cramp like pains sometimes but nothing overly painful and my period ended a week ago so it wouldn't start again this early. Please help, I'm freaking out! Thank you!
