Vaginal burning sensation, Is it an infection?

Patient: I have a vaginal burning sensation but it seems to have nothing to do with urination. Is this an infection?

Doctor: Vaginal burning sensation could be a sign of an underlying infection. It could also be due to atrophic vaginitis. You wi ll need to be examined by your doctor because both the mentioned causes are managed differently.
