Patient :I am 23 years old and an Indian. I dont really have thick hair.i got myself tested and my reports showed that i am facing female patterned baldness. i am already taking medications like tugain, q-sera solution and perfectil tablets. however, while reading up on the internet i came across various articles like onion juice is helpful etc. what can i do more? thin hair is pretty depressing. hope you can help :) thanks
Symptoms: Hair fall is under control with the medications. however hair snaps with little force. my hair grows very quickly but it's not very thick
Thanks for the query.
I understand your concern.
Female type of baldness can occur due to aging, fluctuations in androgen levels, genetical influence etc.
Usually, minoxidil is recommended to treat this, which you are already using.
Other alternatives are anti androgenic drugs like spironolactone, cimetidine, birth control pills etc.
Onion juice etc may not cure hormonal problem.
If baldness is severe, hair transplantation may be needed.
