Vocal chord problems when singing

Q: Im a singer and my vocal range is fairly wide but lately my singing hasnt been able to go as high without feeling a weight on my throat and my voice been getting hoarse really fast lately

You might have developed Vocal Cord nodule, that is common in professions that including continuous speaking, shouting like teacher's, singer's.
I would advise you to see an ENT Specialist. He will examine you and if it is found will treat you accordingly.
Till then, I would advise you:
1. Voice rest
2. Warm saline gargles.
