Waking up to check the time.

Q: I've changed jobs recently (been about a month now), and my schedule has gone from unpredictable to totally steady. Now I wake up constantly in the middle of the night in order to check how much longer I have left to sleep. This only happens when I know I've got to be awake by 6:40am. Never on the weekends. It's driving me crazy because I know that checking how longer I have to sleep is actually DEPLETING me of sleep. I go to bed at a reasonable hour (9-10pm), and do not eat, drink, or exercise past 7pm. It's almost as if I'm afraid of my alarm clock. Is there anything I can do to help me stay asleep?
