Wart bandaid on hand causing unbearable pain?

Patient

Q: Hi there, I've been using wart bandaids on the palm of my hand for a little less than 48 hours now. They were fine, until I woke up this morning - about 35 minutes ago. The area where the wart bandaid was (I took it off) is completely white and the skin looks like it's sunk in a bit. The wart has shrunk as well. I'm not sure what it is, but it's causing me so much pain. The area is throbbing. It's borderline unbearable pain. Can you tell me what's causing the pain and what I can do to soothe it? I'm scared to put the bandaid back on.
