Symptoms: my back has been in pain for almost two years I'm almost 18 and a very athletic soccer player, playing around 12 hours of soccer a week. I was having lower back pain making it hard to sit in class like a deep ache in my pelvis and L5 disc. I saw a doctor who found a bulge disc and also a tumor on my spine right above it which was an accidental find, later they also found two benin tumors in my head. I had to get the tumor surgically removed and they pushed my lower back pain to the side thinking it was from the tumor pushing on my lower back. i was in the hospital for a week longer than i was suppose to be because of complications, they had to shoot my muscles up with cortisone shots or lydicane i think one of those to release the muscle tension which was causing the pain finally after a couple months of recovery i went back to soccer and the symptoms just got worse I've gone from doctor to doctor and all they have found is two more bulge disc and some deteriorating disc disease but they say tons of people have these things especially athletes and its common. I just don't understand how i can be in this much pain and it be only bulged disc. Im going through pt and it doesn't seem to work. My symptoms after surgery are lower back pain almost all the time theres not one day i don't think about my back. sometimes its an deep ache it feels lil int my bones and then it radiates to my hips down the sides of my butt which feels like a charlie horse and causes my legs to feel like the circulation is being cut off. Even some days when my back is in as much pain my feet and calves always feel numb and kinda tingle like a little surge of energy is going through them but they don't feel like the legs belong to me. My bulged disc are L3 L4 L5 my tumor was about 5 inches long rights above my L3 and i just found they cut out 3 little bones attaches to the tumor, and thats why i have a bone popping out of my back now around my L3 i was thinking maybe thats was causing worse pain or maybe i have nerve damage from the surgery idk i just feel like i can never explain myself good enough to the doctors because some days I'm not in that exact pain so its hard to describe it right then and there. it just feels like i have so much pressure in my lower bad i can't sit longer than 15 minutes without being in a sharp achy pain that goes into my hips as well I'm always fidgeting because I'm never comfortable and i feel like i have no support down there, my legs are getting worse to I'm a soccer player and i have great leg muscle but they are so weak heavy they tremble when i have back pain and get tingly and numb, i also have really stiff back muscles if that helps every doctor i have gone to says that my back muscles are stiff and like brick walls. I can't bend walk for a long time touch my toes even hang out with friends for a long time i have become one of those people who lay in there bed because thats when the pain tends to subside. I feel like I'm always in some sort of pain no matter its always between 3-10 most days its a 6 on my periods its by far a 9 or 10 i cry rock back and fourth because its excruciating.
