Patient : Ever since I was a little kid I've had a strange feeling that I can't really explain. The only way to describe it is a pressure that makes me want to break things on my body. I feel the pressure in my toes, fingers, eyes, and back molars. More rarely, I feel it in my lips or vagina. It's this weird aching feeling that makes me literally want to crack my toes off, break off all my fingers, gouge my eyes out, pull my teeth out, and stretch my vagina and lips until they split. It's a hollow, dull, aching feeling that seems to come from inside my bones. I've mentioned this feeling to my GP before, but she didn't understand what I was talking about. The only thing that helps it (and mind you, it really doesn't help that much) is if I bend or press the body parts that are experiencing this. I bend my fingers and toes as far back as they can go and pull them apart. I stretch out my lips and vagina as far as they can go. I put my thumbs behind my back molars and press down as hard as I can. I also pull the corners of my eyelids out and push my thumbs into my eyeballs. I know that this is not in my head. It hurts and it gets horribly uncomfortable from day to day. The symptoms come on suddenly and can last anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. What is this?
