What does this mri reading mean

Patient

Q: I went for a mri the other day complaining of leg pain in my left leg into my calf and occasionally down my right leg. The pain has been unrelenting as of late. The mri shows left paracentral disc protrusion with mass effect on the left side of nerve roots and distal spinal cord at t11-12. L3-4 is normal.L4-5 has left paracentral disc protrusion with mass effect on the left sided nerve rootsat L5-s1. there is a very small right paracentral disc bulge with minimal mass effect on the right sidednerve roots. The dr also said it was interesting I have multiple Schmorl's node formations. What does all of this mean I left the Dr more confused when I left than when I first got there if anyone could help explain this to me I would greatly appriciate it thanks for your time.
