What fruits can a diabetic eat?

Patient: What fruits are allowed for a diabetic person?

Doctor: Thank you for your question. There are no special foods for diabetes. These days the concept of food is related to glycemic index- food with low glycemic index are preferred in diabetes, like– apple, pappaya, berries, cherries, peaches, apricot, pears, kiwis etc while food with high glycemic index like mango, should be taken in low amount.regards
