So about 8 months ago I went to do a push up position and I could not lock my left knee. It hurt horribly. So I would have to slightly bend it in order for it to alleviate. Within the past 4 months, walking too long or standing for long periods of time gives me a horrible pain behind my knee cap. The only way for the pain to go away is to bend the knee or sit down. It doesn't look swollen, but it feels like it is UNDER the knee cap. I wasn't ever injured before and didn't do sports in high school. I am 21 years old and a server. I have very arched feet and my feet also go inward (as well as I walk pigeon toed). When I went to the doctor they did not give me an MRI and said I have patellafemoral pain syndrome.. I don't think that thats what it is. My pain goes away when I bend my knee or there is no weight on it. I am really worried and unable to go on hikes or work out.
