When finding out I was pregnant, I immediately quit smoking cigarettes.

Patient: When finding out I was pregnant, I immediately quit smoking cigarettes, neglecting all information, on quitting may cause stress. But I smoke marijuana on occasion, to helo nausea, a,d when im feeling stressed. Am I putting my child at risk?

 

 

Doctor: Hi,Thanks for the query.I understand your concern.Smoking marijuana during pregnancy can lead to side effects li ke low birth weight baby, baby with lower IQ, behavioral problems, difficulties in language comprehension, memory problems, poor growth, physical abnormalities, increased risk to get leukemia etc.So better to avoid marijuana during pregnancy.Take care.
