When I take a deep breath I feel a surge

Patient

Q: When I take a deep breath I feel a surge of blood in my feet. Is there anything to be worried about?

Symptoms:  Foot pain
Doctor

A:   Hello,
Thank you for your query at AskTheDoctor.com

I understand your concern.
This is definitely not something that is usual, you can go for a physical examination, where the pulsations on your feet can be checked. If the pulsation is normal, and you have no pain on walking for some distance ( claudication pain ), then there is nothing to worry about.

Hope this was helpful,
Regards
