White lump inside the vagina

Patient

Q: I have a small hard white lump just inside my vaguna. My doctor has told me it will go away on it's own but it has even three months. Do you have any idea what it might be or how it can be treated??

Doctor

A:   The white lump inside the vagina may be due to a cyst which only needs close observation. They usually settle down without any treatment. If they become infected, they may become enlarged and painful during which antibiotics and over the counter pain killers are indicated.
