Will morning after pill clear yeast infection?

Patient: Can a woman take next choice morning after pill to help clear up a yeast infection

 

 

Doctor: A morning after pill is used for emergency contraception and will not clear a yeast infection. Treatment of yeast infect ion is with antifungal cream such as clotrimazole ( Lotrimin and Canestan ) or other brands including Monistat 1 (tioconazole), Tinactin (tolnaftate) and Lamisil.
