Will my asthma go away?

Patient

Q: Up until yesterday, I thought I no longer had asthma, my last bad symptom 'can't breath' was when I was 8yrs old, triggered by emotion 'upset'. I'm 19yrs old now and yesterday I worked very hard, ran and jogged a lot and I am out of shape, I was just fine during exercise, took a few breaks to catch my breath, my air ways were 100 percent. but about 10 minutes after the workout I started wheezing and coughing. I've gone to the gym prior to this and never had this problem. What I am wondering is, if I get into better shape will this go away, or at least become more minor. I'm still capable of exercising while these symptoms occurs. Thank you
