Would a Dr give someone five different meds for bipolar

Patient: Would a Dr give someone five different meds for bipolar disorder at the same time??

Doctor: Hi. Thank you for writing to us.It is possible as long as some of the medications are vitamins and supplements and s ome of them are antacids. Then, the only real drugs you are taking are the remaining 2 or 3 medications.Send me the name of the medications so I can better explain each drug and the rationale for the treatment. Hope this helps.
