Patient :I started birth control pills on the wrong day. By that I mean I had my last menstruation on Dec. 5 and I started the pack (althea is the brand name) on Dec.15. I had contact on Dec.18 but with a condom. I am supposed to bleed on Jan.5-11 and had spotting by Jan.7 and bled on Jan.9 (the bleeding was enough to fill one pad and its dark red) until now Jan.12. I took home pregnancy test on Jan.9, as my doctor ask me to and it came out negative. During my use, and until my menstruation I feel nauseous most of the time and my breasts feel tender. My only concern is that am I safe to say that I am not pregnant? I am just a constant worrywort since I am not ready for pregnancy.
