Yeast infection effect period

Patient

Q: Can a yeast infection affect my period and if so, for how long?

Doctor

A:   Thank you for your query.
Yeast infections are easily treatable, that is the good news. Apart from yeast infection, stress, strain, excessive weight loss or gain, excessive exercise, use of medication, hormonal changes etc can delay periods. However if you have not had your period for over two months it is advisable to opt for an over the counter pregnancy test or contact your health care provider to investigate further.
Hope that answers your query. Have a good day.
