This yeast infection can be passed on to your male partner via unprotected sexual intercourse. The fungal yeasts causing a yeast infection, candida albicans, can proliferate resulting in a yeast in the male partner. This will have to be treated with oral and topical antifungal medications prescribed by a doctor.
